Cato Research is a full-service contract research and development organization with international resources dedicated to helping pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies efficiently and expeditiously navigate the regulatory approval process in order to bring new drugs, biologics, and medical devices to the people who need them. Cato is a non-laboratory environment.

We are currently recruiting an Accountant II to join our team.  This position will be responsible for analyzing financial data in order to prepare reports and journals as well as reconciling accounting data and general ledger accounts in accordance with Cato Research procedures.

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Perform monthly, quarterly and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, coordination and completion of annual audits, and reviewing financial reports/support as necessary
  • Analyze and report on financial status, communicating financial results to management
  • Budget preparation and analysis
  • Processing and verifying all accounts payable
  • Assist in preparation of financial statements
  • Create other related reports in connection with processing invoice for payment.

Requirements:

  • Sound technical knowledge of basic accounting principles required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft business suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

 

Experience:

 

2-3 years related accounting experience
