The Project Manager will manage the planning, development and execution of projects to support the US manufacturing operations. The Project Manager plays a key role in the US operations activities and other projects to support the initial site establishment, production, quality, and business initiatives. This position will be accountable for successful execution of assigned projects through project planning, adherence to schedule and budget requirements, and risk/issue management in a highly regulated GMP environment.


  • Responsible for developing detailed project plans, road maps, timeline estimates, and budgets to achieve project objectives in support of US manufacturing operations (i.e.: facilities, quality, manufacturing, supply chain and Manufacturing Support and Technology). Projects may include such items as:  Technical Transfer of products, E-System implementation, site commissioning and qualification activities.
  • Leads project team(s) on project implementation and execution to ensure quality, timelines and budget management.
  • Ensures necessary communication within the project team (meetings, reporting, correspondence) and coordinates interfaces outside of project team with stakeholders, subject matter experts and customers.
  • Effectively presents information, responds to questions and facilitates communications regarding critical issues and business impacts to management.
  • Consults with clients, vendors, and internal staff to resolve major problems and respond to project changes.
  • Leads vendor selection and contract negotiations as needed.
  • Utilizes project management tools for report generation utilizing MS Project, budget tracking and timeline management tools.
  • Establishes and enforces best practices, accurate record keeping and file maintenance.
  • Plans, coordinates and presents at internal and external meetings.
  • Prepares project management reports for management and key stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.



  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, engineering discipline or similar.
  • 4-6 years' experience managing projects in biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or other relevant certification preferred.
  • Must have sound knowledge of cGMP processing.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership and motivational skills developed through leading teams.
  • Ability to anticipate and solve problems, strong work flow and process analysis skills.
  • Proven ability to lead cross functional teams and motivate team to achieve results.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environment with competing priorities and ambiguity.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Excellent written and verbal communications and presentation skills.
