CoImmune Inc. is a US company based in Durham North Carolina that was founded in 2019 based on its expertise in the development and manufacture of cell-based therapeutics to treat unmet medical needs including cancer, autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. CoImmune has a 20,000 sq. ft. cGMP manufacturing facility capable of supporting clinical studies from Phase I through Phase 3. The company is preparing to initiate its first Phase 2 clinical trial using a strategic combination of immune-oncology therapeutics. In addition to developing its own therapeutic pipeline, the company plans to use its excess cGMP manufacturing capacity to provide revenue-generating contract services for the manufacturing of third-party clinical stage cell-based products.    


This individual will be carrying out research and/or development work to support the development of manufacturing processes for immunotherapy products as well as the development of analytical assays. The product is/will be undergoing testing in clinical trials. 


  • Responsible for developing methods and procedures to advance immunotherapy production and quality control.
  • Execute pre-clinical scientific research and/or development strategies.
  • Conduct assays to further understand the mechanisms of action of drug products under development.
  • Investigate the feasibility of applying a wide variety of scientific principles and concepts to potential inventions, products and problems.
  • Authors technical documents such as Technical Reports, protocols, presentations to technical groups.
  • Maintain a high level of professional expertise through familiarity with scientific literature in the area of research and areas of interest to the company.
  • Cooperate with scientists and other departments throughout the company to be aware of other activities and their relationship to assigned projects.
  • Make contributions to scientific literature and conferences.
  • Perform other duties as required.



  • S. in molecular biology or a related scientific discipline and 5-8 years of related work experience, or a Ph.D. in a scientific discipline with 0 to 2 years of experience in a research or development environment.
  • Candidates must have working experience with all molecular biology techniques, and knowledge of advanced molecular biology techniques especially with RNA.
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency, scientific creativity, collaboration with others and independent thought.
  • Must possess the ability and desire to function well in a team environment and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, effective written and verbal communication skills and initiative.
  • Ability and willingness to be regularly, predictably and reliably at work.
