Spuntech Industries is a developer and manufacturer of spunlace hydroentangled fabric products and is a world leader in the spunlace market. Founded in 1996, Spuntech is owned by Nissan Medical Industries and traded on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. The Company has three production facilities – two in the Galilee, Israel, and one in Roxboro, North Carolina.

Spuntech is seeking a highly motivated, results-driven individual to join the Spuntech Team. The Process Engineer will be a key process facilitator for a continuous nonwovens manufacturing line. Spuntech's manufacturing processes are computer-controlled and driven.

DUTIES

  • Oversee product changes
  • Learn and advance the science of spunlace manufacturing; focuses on production efficiencies, process, and procedures
  • Individual successful in this position will utilize problem solving skills, application of dynamics, thermodynamics, material science, heat transfer, among other engineering disciplines
  • Manage projects while supporting the production line
  • Effectively interface with Production Team Members, R&D, Sales, Production, Maintenance, and Operations Managers
  • Troubleshoot and support repair of production equipment
  • Refine equipment and process settings to properly run existing and new products in coordination with Engineering, Maintenance, and operations staff
  • Help define new equipment requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Analyze existing equipment performance and propose changes to improve reliability and capability, while reducing machine variation; assist with installation and validation of new equipment and/or processes

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
  • 3 years of experience in an engineering role; experience working in a continuous production manufacturing facility preferred
  • Ability to successfully apply engineering theory to reality
  • Strong grasp of statistics and the application thereof
  • Project management and prioritization skills
  • Availability to work flexible hours
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • High level of proficiency with MS Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification a plus
