Spuntech Industries is a dynamic developer, manufacturer, and supplier of spunlace hydroentangled fabric products and is a world leader in the nonwoven market.  Founded in 1996, Spuntech is owned by Nissan Medical Industries and traded on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.  The Company has three production facilities – two in the Galilee, Israel, and one in Roxboro, NC.  

We are seeking a highly motivated, results-driven Maintenance Engineer to join the Spuntech Team in Roxboro, NC. The Roxboro Location is the largest and fastest growing part of the company with two large production lines.


  • Work with Maintenance Manager to develop annual goals for continually improving maintenance reliability.
  • Perform Root Case Analysis and develop procedures and recommendations for permanent elimination of problems.
  • Develop tools and techniques to analyze and develop cost effective preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Identify, plan and implement projects to improve the inherent reliability of equipment.
  • Develop and implement standards based repair procedures, documenting repairs, developing and implementing Performance Management System.
  • Identify, develop, and implement procedures and/or equipment modifications that reduce the time required to repair/replace equipment and execute changeovers.
  • Lead equipment performance reviews to assure actions are identified and executed addressing equipment performance gaps and implementing improvements in equipment and processes.
  • Prepare and present technical information to team members and management.
  • Reduce the incident of costly breakdowns and develop strategies to improve overall reliability and safety of plant, personnel and production processes.
  • Mentor, train and develop team members involved on new techniques, processes on engineered changes.
  • Work with Production to identify opportunity.
  • Promote an atmosphere of continuous improvement.
  • Help to create and sustain a culture of safety and efficiency on the production floor.
  • Support training and development initiatives.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.


  • Minimum 2 year degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in industrial maintenance experience preferred.
  • Experience in a lean manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience must include maintenance of electro-mechanic systems for automated production lines, water circulation and filtration systems, and fibers and/or dust collection systems, and support systems such as: safety systems, air condition, compressed air, building maintenance, etc.
  • Excellent computer skills, including operation CAD software
  • Proficiency in reading, writing and speaking English.
